About the Pee Dee Chapter
The Pee Dee Chapter has been helping citizens in Florence, Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Marion, Marlboro since 1917. As a part of an international network of Red Cross societies, we are guided by seven fundamental principles: humanity, impartiality, voluntary service, neutrality, independence, universality and unity.
Last year, your local Red Cross…
- Provided shelter, meals and clothing for more than 270 fire families totaling over 900 people
- Trained over 300 volunteers in 40 disaster courses
- Relayed more than 480 emergency military messages and assisted numerous local military families during financial hardships
- Issued over 10,000 certifications in CPR, First Aid, babysitting and life guarding
- Reached out to over 50,000 individuals through our community information/referral and disaster education services
